The Holy Qurbana.

The Holy Qurbana — the Liturgy of St. James, the brother of the Lord — is the oldest continuously celebrated Eucharistic rite in Christendom. At our parish it is offered every Sunday morning at 8 o'clock, in Malayalam, Syriac, and English.

The service runs about two hours. It is sung throughout. Visitors are warmly welcome to attend, sit anywhere, follow along, and remain for tea afterward. The Holy Mysteries themselves are received by baptised Orthodox Christians; others are invited to come forward for a blessing.

  • Prosphora (offering bread) is prepared before the service by the faithful.
  • Modest dress is requested out of reverence for the sanctuary.
  • Children are welcome throughout; a quiet space is available if needed.
