Holy Baptism
Reception into the Body of Christ. Infants of parishioners are baptised within the Sunday Qurbana. Adult baptisms are preceded by a year of catechumenate.
The Holy Qurbana — the Liturgy of St. James, the brother of the Lord — is the oldest continuously celebrated Eucharistic rite in Christendom. At our parish it is offered every Sunday morning at 8 o'clock, in Malayalam, Syriac, and English.
The service runs about two hours. It is sung throughout. Visitors are warmly welcome to attend, sit anywhere, follow along, and remain for tea afterward. The Holy Mysteries themselves are received by baptised Orthodox Christians; others are invited to come forward for a blessing.
For sacramental enquiries — baptism, marriage, confession, or anointing — please contact the Vicar.

Sealing with the Holy Spirit, administered immediately following Baptism. The forehead, eyes, ears, nose, lips, hands and feet are anointed with holy Myron.
The Body and Blood of Christ offered at every Qurbana for the forgiveness of sins and life eternal.
Sacramental reconciliation heard by the Vicar. The Lenten general confession is offered before Pascha.
The crowning of a man and a woman in Christ. Pre-marital preparation runs for 6–8 sessions; banns are read for three Sundays.
Ordination of bishops, priests and deacons — administered by the diocesan Metropolitan. The parish supports several seminarians.
Healing grace for the seriously ill, the dying, and those preparing for surgery. The Vicar is available for home and hospital visits at any hour.
Funerals at the church, followed by the rites of burial. Memorial Qurbana on the 1st Saturday of each month for the departed of the parish.
