A place of prayer and reverence.

In silence and prayer, we await the revelation of the Holy Mysteries at the altar of God.

The Patronal Feast · 23 February
The feast of St. Dionysius.

We honour St. Dionysius with solemn Qurbana, procession, and fellowship - giving thanks for his witness and asking his prayers.

Anno Domini · MMXXVI · Ballarat Parish
Come, let us worship in His holy house.

An Indian Orthodox parish in Ballarat, rooted in the apostolic tradition of St. Thomas. Each Lord's Day we gather for the Holy Qurbana — an unbroken liturgy of light, incense, and song.

HOLY QURBANA · THE ALTAR OF GRACE
Come, receive the peace of Christ.

At the Holy Altar, the Church gathers in prayer, thanksgiving, and reverence before the living God.

— A Spiritual Home for Every Soul.

St. Dionysius Indian Orthodox Church, Ballarat.

Peace be unto you. Whether you are arriving for the first time, returning after many years, or have worshipped with us all your life - there is a place for you at this altar. Our parish was consecrated in the name of Mar Dionysius, a faithful shepherd of the Malankara Church, and continues a tradition of prayer that reaches back to the Apostle Thomas himself.

Our liturgy is sung in Malayalam. Children who are still learning often join in with a Manglish Qurbana book, following the prayers in Malayalam written in English script. After the Qurbana, food is served in the hall for the parish family. You are welcome - come as you are, and bring a friend.
